Hearing Impairments
Dr. Zawawi provides consultations and treatment for patients with hearing related disorders. That includes, children who were born with reduced hearing, otitis media and middle ear effusion, chronic ear infections and older children and adults who have lost their hearing due to various causes. These patients would require hearing and balance assessment as well as counselling and guidance in management.

Patients are seen in clinic with multiple complaints, including change in voice, pain, difficulty swallowing as well as difficulty breathing. Diagnoses like, vocal cord nodules and cysts, laryngeal cysts, airway narrowing, paralysis of the vocal cord are some of many different airway disorders that are cared for in clinic.
