Dr. Faisal Zawawi (MD, MSc, FRCSC) is an attending faculty at the Department of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery at King Abdulaziz University. He has graduated from McGill University’s Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery residency program, after which he completed 2 different fellowships in pediatric Otolaryngology - head and neck surgery at the Montreal Children Hospital (McGill University) and The Hospital for Sick Children (University of Toronto) which is regarded as one of the finest program by the American Society of Pediatric Otolaryngology (ASPO). He has also received his Master of Science degree from McGill University.

Currently, Dr. Zawawi is the chairman of the cochlear implants and hearing aids unit at King Abdulaziz University.

Dr. Zawawi is also a researcher with over 70 publications which are published in the highest impact factor journals in the field as well as numerous book chapters. As of December 2023 his H-Index = 15 (Google Scholar). In 2023, Dr. Zawawi founded the Middle East Symposium of Pediatric Otolaryngology (MESPO) that held it’s first annual meeting in Nov 2023. He serves now as the chairman and CEO of MESPO.
